Anyone going to pas de la casa on the 25th Feb?

Hey, is anyone flying out to pas de la casa on the 25th Feb?

Its my first time skiing and pretty nervous!

Heard the conditions were pretty dangerous the other week, hope they%26#39;ve improved with a bit snow but there%26#39;s still not much is there? Reassurance would be great!

Plus whats the night life like? Heard its nick name is Mandorra? Going to feel pretty out numbered then!

Anyway if you have any advice would much appreciate it, will prob need all the help i can get!

|||

i am flying out there this sunday so should be able to give you a good idea of conditions when i get back if ya want?

Yes thats the nicname for the resort but it isnt always that case, but the nightlife is really good and if you are up for cheap drinks then you are going to the right place.

if there is anything else i can help you with then let us know and i will try answer them? i was out there last year as well

|||

Yeah thanks that would be cool!

I%26#39;ve heard that the bar Paddy%26#39;s is supposed to be really good, anymore that you can recommend would be great.

Also you ever stayed in Hotel Magic? Thats where i%26#39;m staying when i go on 25th Feb, just wondered what it was like.

Hope you have a wicked time!

there ar quite a few good bars and clubs, there is two at the side of paddys 1 is called willwalkie and i cant think of the other one. the underground is gud later on in the night.

unfortunitly i havent stayed at that hotel so could tell u much about it. the only things i can say is that i think it is in a gud location for both night life and the slopes.

how many of you are going? have u had lessons or u getting them out there?

|||

There are four of us going! Not had any lessons yet but going either this weekend or next to the indoor slopes! Prob going to go about twice before we go.

Do you think that will be enough?

Flying to Soldue on 25th, done pass 4 times, last 4 years, cheap drinks a few good hotels and some bad, where are you staying, maybe able to let you know good or bad, skiing is much better over the first mountain so get your self over as soon as you can, brilliant run to canilo and great cafe,

where staying in hotel magic, you ever stayed there?

what airport are you flying to? We are flying to Barcelona, heard that the transfer takes about 7 hours, is this true?

Hi Nicky,

I went to Pasa De Casa twice last year and ski conditions were great! I went once in Feb which were ace! Then got out there again end of March. Much quieter in March, but ski conditions were still pretty good!

Night life is pretty good during peak times, was alot quieter end of season.

Try KSB for evening meals! Highly recommended! All food BBQ%26#39;d right in front of you, and very reasonable!

No sure what the snow is like now, but I%26#39;m going 15th March! Hope they have some heavy snow before then!

Just read another message asking what the Hotels are like.

Funnily enough I stayed at Hotel Magic both times last year, and staying there in March!

It%26#39;s probably one of the best Hotels in the resort! Rooms are very nice, good bar downstairs right opposite the reception, and it has a sauna and hot tub located on 3rd floor! You%26#39;ll probably need this to warm the bones, and rest your aches and pains when you get back from the slopes!

It%26#39;s also only a 2 min walk from the ski lifts, right turn out of the Hotel and straight down the road!

Shame I%26#39;m not going on 25th Feb now, you can always go again in March!

In regards to flying into Barcelona, I have never done that route to Andorra? I always fly into Toulouse. I have been told Andorra is midway between Toulouse and Barcelona. It takes one and half hours to drive from Toulouse?

Enjoy!

|||

One and half hours from either airport? I didn%26#39;t realise it was that close, thought it was going to be trek to the resort! Cool.

I thought both airports were the same distance but then heard that if you fly to Barcelona is a bit of nightmare just wondered if it was true!

Thanks for the emails and hope you have a wicked time in March will let you know what its like when i come back. Only three weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!

I%26#39;m not 100% that it will be one and half hours from Barcelona? It%26#39;s about that from Toulouse, and someone told me when I was there it was about the same transfer time, so hopefully will be ok!

If you have any drama, Toulouse next time! It%26#39;s really easy to get early morning EasyJet flight from Gatwick, book in advance really cheap! Then when you arrive in Toulouse there is a mini bus company that does resort transfers.

Have a great time! Try not to break anything!!
