Hi Beckz

I went to Arinsal about 3 years ago and to Pas De La Casa in January this year, and I would without a doubt say go to Pas!

Arinsal is ok if you are starting out, but so is Pas, there are more runs and with the GrandValira lift pass you get the chance to explore Soldeu and El Tartar aswell.

Theres also more choice at night, as Pas is larger there are more shops, bars and restaurants. I remember Arinsal being fairly small and quiet.

We stayed at the Aparthotel Olimpiades in Pas which was basic self catering accomodation but right on the slopes for fantastic ski-in ski-out access. In Arinsal you have to take the telecabin which then takes you to the bottom of the slopes, so if you do go there I would definately make sure you stay near to the station.

Hope that helps and have fun where ever you decide to go!

Hi

We%26#39;ve been to Pas about 4 times. The town might get criticism for not being beautiful - but for bars, eating %26amp; shopping etc it%26#39;s great. Entering Grand Valira from here is perfect; the piste is being extended yearly !

if you want a b%26amp;b try hotel petit - reasonable price and very warm %26amp; clean. Enjoy!!!!!

COMPLETELY different resorts - Arinsal is a pretty little village with some great bars and attracts lots of families and groups with some beginners in. Pas de la Casa is like San Antonio with snow - a bit ugly as people say but much livelier and lots to do. A much greater ski area too. Also an hour less to travel on the coach from Toulouse!

Also travelling at Christmas - any recommendations for what to do CHRISTMAS DAY?????

Ski? Eat Xmas dinner. Drink. If you haven%26#39;t booked into a hotel that%26#39;ll provide you with Xmas dinner then tag on to one of the tour operator parties. As soon as you get there then sort this out and book a table if you need to. Lots of people ski in fancy dress on Xmas day and the atmosphere is fantastic. Don%26#39;t worry - you really don%26#39;t need to be that organised - you%26#39;ll have plenty of options once you get there. Enjoy!
