I agree everything in Pas is 5/6 mins....but it does depend on if its an %26#39;up%26#39; for a %26#39;down%26#39; for those 5/6 mins!

It is situated by the bus terminal so very handy for when you first arrive, as most hotels you have to walk up hills to get there as buses are banned from the centre of town. You will have to walk 5 minutes up hill to get to the slopes, I would recommend getting a ski locker as its horrendous in your boots. You are surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants. Overall the Cal Ruiz is a nice hotel, but I wouldnt say it was worth the 4 stars (gets it for facilities I think). There are loads of great places to go for New Years, I spent new year in a bar called Underground and it was great, brilliant party atmosphere - Flugels galore!!!!

Hi Italy Queen, you sound like you live in Pas de la Casa or know it very well at least. Can you recommend a good, reasonable hotel to stay in? I am coming there in February, I am looking at Els Cims, Refugi dels Isards and Envalira. Also places to eat, drink and any good parties you know of would be appreciated, thanks
