ski hire

we are travelling in february to Canillo, can anyone advise me if there is ski hire shops in Canillo or do you have to travel to El tarter or Soldeu. We are travelling with children- is the skiing in Canillo suitable for a beginner? what is the ski school like there? or should we travel over to another area- we have hired a car so could travel if necessary

Have never stayed in Canillo but have been to Soldeu loads of times, the main road travels from Pas de la Casa, through Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and down to Andorra la Vella. Ski hire etc is not a problem in Canillo and the resort is connected to the rest of the Grandvalira. Not sure about the tuition in Canillo but El Tarter and Soldeu are excellent and might be worth the short drive, easy parking in El Tarter, right next to the gondola. Canillo has a small skiing area and might be a bit restrictive for beginners who aren%26#39;t too comfortable on lifts. I%26#39;d possibly be tempted to drive up to El Tarter (5 mins), nice and wide and flat!!!!
