My husband and I had two weeks walking in Andorra in mid June this year. I would say June is a good time to go, as the weather is good and there are loads of flowers. The mountain tops still had some snow, but it was quite hot, which we hadn%26#39;t expected (around 30C everyday.
We had one week in the Xalet Verdu hotel in Arinsal, and then a week in Soldeu Maistre. We definitely preferred the Xalet Verdu and would highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food good. There are stunning views from the hotel and it is nicely furnished. There is a half built hotel beside it, which worried us on arrival, but apparently it has been abandoned like that for years, so no building noise at all. Arinsal is a very pretty village with fantastic mountain walking from the door. There is a regular bus service (roughly hourly) to Andorra La Vella and other nearby villages. We enjoyed our time there very much.
We were not so keen on Soldeu, although there is also some amazing scenery and fantastic walks. The walking is probably less strenuous from Soldeu.
Soldeu seems to get a lot more rain than Arinsal (this was true both weeks we were in Andorra).
We booked a package through Inghams, and would highly recommend them.
