Hi
We are going to the Sport Hotel in Soldeu in Feb half term and are flying into Barcelona and picking up a hire car.
Which is the quickest route to Soldeu?
Is it north on the E9, thru the tunnel de Cadi then west around the bottom of Andorra on the N260, then north on the N145 to Soldeu
OR North on the C17, up to Puigcerda then east into france, north up to Puymorens then west along the N22 back into Andorra?
Sat nav says to go option 1 and some other sites say to go option 2.
Has anyone driven it and which is the best one to do at this time of year. We will leave Barcelona at about 2.30pm
Thanks for assisting.

We drove there at the beginning of January on your Option1. From Barcelona Airport, it took us just under 2-1/2 hours to Canillo. There was very little traffic (after leaving Barcelona) and the whole trip was very straightforward - even at the Spanish/Andorra border, we just drove straight through. We didn%26#39;t have sat -nav but found it to be very well sign posted. It has some spectacular scenery along the way as well! Good luck

Hi
For anyone that is interested.
I have just returned from a week in Soldeu - only about 40% of runs open and very icy, but still a great week. They had a 40cm dump on Saturday as we left so this should open up a few more runs.
We drove the spain route and it was fine and took 3 hours.
I think the other route is more susceptible to weather conditions but is a bit quicker.

Hi Roger (or anyone else?!) - we%26#39;re off to Sport Hotel in a couple of weeks, did you happen to notice if:
1. There are kettles in rooms (I like my hot choc when I come down)!
2. Are there free ski lockers at the Sport (I know you can hire them at the Gondola)
3. Is there a safe in the room - I%26#39;m thinking about bringing my laptop in the hope I can find wifi somewhere
Thanks
Scooby
