St Gothard Hotel

My boyfriend and i are going snowboarding in January and are staying at the St Gothard Hotel, Half Board. Any Information about the hotel or the surrounding area would be helpful!!

hi stayed there about 13 years ago, hotel was superb, but a bus ride away from lifts. u at the bottom of the bank and everthing happening is at the top

I stayed there in Dec last year and agree with the previous post, hotel itself is nice enough but a bit of an inconvenient location for getting to the slopes.

Hotel is ok and even the location is not a problem as you have s ki bus stop outside of the hotel and an option to hire the locker for ski/board equipment at the top of the gondola and you do not need to carry the equipment and than walking to the gondola in the morning which is a very good warm up for boarding .

i would say it is about 10-15 min walk up hil to the gondola and less than 10 min walk back to the hotels as it is all down-hill.

There are plenty of places to go in the evening or you can stay in the hotel.

Enjoy !

PinkPixie!

Arinsal is very beautiful. It is not big, probably a ten minute walk from top to the bottom, the only problem is that going up is harder, cause you are right on the mountain....

You should definitely go and eat at %26quot;The Surf%26quot; right out of the lift. I also recommend %26quot;Refugi de la Fondue%26quot;a little bit norther, from the same owners. Reservation is a must for the second one, cause is quite small and always booked.

Write those names down cause is the best food over there.

In those restaurants also works an unbelievably good magician. He is from Peru but speaks english perfectly. Ask which night he is working. He is worth watching.....

Have a great trip!

We stayed at the St Gothard approx 3 years ago and it was lovely, although it can be quite warm! It is located down hill from the slopes but there is a shuttle bus to take you up. We hired a locker at the gondola on the first day - one locker did the four of us. It is very handy and means you don%26#39;t have to bother hauling boots/skis/boards etc about! The food in the hotel from what I remember was good, quite alot of selection and I think some nights were themed. Regarding nightlife it isn%26#39;t as lively as Pas but there is enough to get you by with bars and a few clubs. All in all it was a great place and i%26#39;m sure you will enjoy your stay!
