Just wondering has anyone ever stayed in these and if so whether they are well located or worth staying. We are agroup of 3 girls. 2 beginners and 1 non-beginner. Mainly want decent accommodation near to the slopes - would prefer not to have to get ski bus - and near to food and drink etc.

Meenamara, just got back from Soldeu, Stayed in Bonnell Apts. Very basic but clean and situated middle of Soldeu. Cable car only 50/100 meters away which also has a locker area (55 Euro for up to 5 sets of gear). As much night life as you want as most pubs are English based with entertainment. Snow still a problem but plenty of snow blowers up on the mountain (can be noisy at night) so the pistes that are open are OK. Have a look at http://www.grandvalira.com/gv for more info.
Except for the 4/4.5 hour bus ride have a ball.
