Hi,
We stayed in the aparthotel Olimpiades last year, which we booked through the panorama brochure as we got 2 for 1 lift passes.
Although these apartments are fairly basic they were great for what we wanted. They are located right on the slope so you can simply board/ski down to the lifts in the morning, and at the end of your day just board directly back to the door!
In the evenings the restaurants and bars are just a short stroll away. (A must being La Copa, a great Italian restaurant which also has a lovely wood fire for fantastic steaks!)
The Himalaia is a higher standard of hotel (4 star) with more facilities, and although it says it is 50m from the slopes it is not ski-in ski-out, so really it depends on what standard of accomodation you are looking for.

Hi Kiwijbob
Olimpiades is right on the slopes, and I would want to stay there if going for a real cheapo holiday in Pas
Himalaia we stayed at last year and it%26#39;s not far from the Olipmpiades but set back along the road rather than on the slopes, you walk to where the Olimpiades is to start your skiing.
There are lots of reviews of both hotels in the hotels section, have a look at them, might help your choice.
We liked Himalaia a lot, so can definitely reccomend it, if you can get a last-minute cheap deal there, you can%26#39;t go far wrong!
