Hey everybody!
Going skiing in February. We are staying in hotel Arnisal. Has anybody stayed there or heard anything about it.. food etc..
As shoes go would the ladies recommend wearing uggs to the pubs or comfy boots with low heel..
Advice appreciatedx

Don%26#39;t know about arinsal, I stayed in El Tarter. Lucky you, snow is supposed to be best in Feb according to our ski instructor.
Re the Ugg boots, I%26#39;d say no, unless you want to wear them indoors. Comfy boots with low heel - yes.
My son wore a light pair of runners most of the time apres ski. He brought a pair of proper hiking shoes but did not need them. I wore my hiking shoes all the time.

Thanks for the advice!
Do you think its too wet for uggs?
Just trying to decide exactly what I need to keep my luggage as light as possible..
Thats great about the snow in feb.. I%26#39;d no idea!

Yes, it gets slushy on the paths and roads. Uggs would soak this up I think.

Hi Galaxy
Just back from Arinsal last week. Had a great time by the way.
both of us lived in comfy hiking boots for the week. Didn;t need anything else. The paths can get slushy and wet if there is snow. there was a blizzard while we were there and anything else but hiking boots for the next three days were a waste of time.
best bit of advice of all is on your arrival day get your skis and boots straight away and head up the mountain on the gondola. Put skis and boots into one of the private lockers. works out at €50ish for the week. Saves you carting them around up and down for the week. Also dont use the communal cages. Things go missing.
And the very very very best bit of advice - if your ski rental is with St Moritz pay the extra €6.50 for the %26quot;Superior%26quot; Ski boots - the difference in comfort is worth 10 times that.
have fun - don%26#39;t stick to one bar - do them all and order a steak in the Surf bar at the bottom of the Gondola some night. (only when you%26#39;re very hungry)

Also going n Feb, have been doing so for past 6 years. As for footwear just go comfort and something that can get wet if there is snow on the ground. You won%26#39;t win any prizes for best dressed. Arinsal is more about having fun than what you are dressed in.
As for ski hire, if you are comfortable with your ability go for the superior skis and boots, you will notice the difference. My wife who is an intermediate was given the superior skis and her friend who is an excellent skier was given the standard. When it came to stopping and speed there was a scary difference for them.
If you haven%26#39;t booked your skiis with your tour operator book them through snowrental.net and you will save upto 40%
Also goto to vallnord.com and join the club as you will get a discount on your lift passes and in shops and restaurants.
