Having only been skiing once before (in Bulgaria), what is it like in the evenings? Does everyone just tend to wear their warmest stuff when they go out to whatever pubs there are, or should I take something a little dressier (and no, having read one of the previous messages, I don%26#39;t mean a ballgown!!)
Thanks

Having just returned from El Tarter (just down the road from Soldeu) last Sunday, I can confirm that the evening dress code is very relaxed to the point of anything goes as far as I was concerned.
I brought and wore (obviously) good quality leisure gear, not rags and a strong pair of walking shoes for getting out in the evening.
I brought two good shirts and good pair of jeans and I wore them once simply because they were there, but I certainly didn%26#39;t need them.
I also brought an expensive pair of Timberland which I think I wore once as the sole did not have enough grip for my liking.
When going from one establishment to another at night I did not wear my ski jacket but a good fleece jacket over whatever I had on underneath. You don%26#39;t spend an awful lot of time outside at night anyway.
If you intend to dine out for most of your evenings you might want to re think your strategy. As I was dining on a half board basis I did not feel under pressure to look like I might appear in the pages of %26#39;Hello%26#39; anytime soon!
I think a good rule of thumb is to pack well within the airline baggage allowance. Mine was 20Kg and I think I packed 17kg.

Thanks very much for replying - that%26#39;s really helpful information. Cheers
