Snow in arinsal now?

Going to arinsal on March 4th for a week, what are the conditions like now? Staying in the Hotel Arinsal... anyone else stayed here? 1st time skiing - any tips???

we are going that week.

We are all first time and getting worried!

We are going self catering

great news for you re. snow my sister telephoned last nit from arinsal and its snowing since sunday and the place looks great we were there for xmas no snow but all beginners so snow machines were perfect for us !! if you have questions just post as we were a family of 5 beginners and loved every minute of it and dying to go back

Glad you enjoyed it. There are 6 of us going - we are all beginners. What bars %26amp; restaurants would you recommend? what was the food like - we have heard reports that the food in general is not good - is that true?

|||

who told you the food is not good???

how dare you come on here and tell everyone our food is not good

hope can be of help - the secret to beginner skiing is getting the snow plough perfect even if it takes the week and practice practice what you have been taught. our conditions were not ideal as it was very icy so with the fresh snow it should be ideal and not half as scary !! if you feel that you are not progressing then i would recommend getting a private lesson or 2 - can recommend matthew how was our instructor for the week - wonderful teacher and so patient - first day we had a private lesson with Mark again top marks for patience and so good at explaining. re food we stayed in a wonderful apartment which we booked privately and we ate out at ciscos 4 nights as our kids were 19 16 and 8 so the 5 of us loved the xmas atmosphere there - cooked xmas dinner in the apartment - heard good things about surf if you like chargrilled steaks etc - also the thai restaurant downstairs from the xbar where they used to show video footage of our skiing ability (comedy mostly ) of the day was excellent. Would recommend a locker for the week as it did make it easier leaving all our gear after a days skiing rather than lugging it up and down the chair lifts. We are hoping to go back again this time to the princesa park which has a lovely spa with hydro pool, bowling alley and games room for kids etc. we checked it out while there and thought it looked lovely. cannot fault the food in anyway - or one thing about our holiday - to experience snow would have been magical but it just didn%26#39;t happen so made the most of xmas in a lovely atmosphere - we all got the skiing bug so on the countdown to our next one
