Hi

Arinsal is a great place to learn to ski, we are intermediate skiers but my son learnt this year in Arinsal and by the third day he was coming down blue runs, no problem.

Personally, I prefer to book ski school with tour operator as they then give you vouchers to collect everything on the first Monday, which can be a bit chaotic but once you are sorted with your stuff, just wait for the ski instructors and the announcement where to stand.

Quo Vadis is a good apres ski bar, as is a place called the X Bar, which is passed the Solana Hotel on the left.

Ski School is great fun and the place to be to meet people, by the end of the week you will be feeling confident to do blue runs at least.

Its tiring so be prepared, our lad is 10 but to be honest by 1030pm, we were knackered as well, he normally outlasted us!!

Enjoy

Hi Tina and Tony,

We went to the Crest last boxing day for a week, it is situated at the top of Arinsal village most bars clubs and restaraunts are about a 10 minute walk but there is a good bar over the road(Rocky Mountain) There is a 2 man chairlift in Crest garden which takes you right up to ski school, all the instructors are really friendly, if you are on a package you will be able to book everything on your coach transfer if not you can get everything from the main ski station at the top of chairlift. The food in the Crest if definitely filling, it is similar to buffet food in Spanish costa hotels. Arinsal is a great resort but the transfer is a killer. If you don%26#39;t like skiing there is a good spa at hotel Diana, hope you like skiing though, you%26#39;ll have a laugh learning

best wishes

Fiona
