Hi there,
I stayed at Sandy IV apt%26#39;s a couple of years ago as a real cheap %26#39;allocated on arrival/last minute%26#39; deal. I will admit they%26#39;re not the most luxurious but I%26#39;ve stayed in worse places on beach holidays!
Couple of tips, try to hire ski lockers at the bottom of the piste because Sandy IV is as far away from lifts as you can get and still be in Pas. If you%26#39;re mega fit then fine, it was my first time ski-ing and grief did it hurt walking back up the hill each night in boots and carrying ski%26#39;s! When you%26#39;re heading out at nights you can cut-through one of the other hotels which takes out part of an S-bend which shortens the walk into town, but its still only 10mins absolute max. You can get to the piste down the stairs next to the Olympiades hotel which again saves you a walk up/down.
The real downside for Sandy IV for me was the lack of hot water, if you ski until the lifts shut and then partake of a happy hour beverage before heading back you%26#39;ll be in for a chilly shower. Remember in Pas (at least in 2005) anyone can use the sauna/pool etc at other hotels so check out Magic Pas hotel if you feel like a bit of luxury.
I hope that hasn%26#39;t worried you more! On the plus side Pas is a great resort, I%26#39;m going back for my third time next month and can%26#39;t wait. Have fun!
