Hello all,
my wife and I went on a last-minute deal to El Tarter about 10 years ago and had a good time. We are both *novices* as we haven%26#39;t been since!
We now have two kids (aged 6 and 2) and are considering Andorra for a break in mid -March next year. I%26#39;d appreciate any general advice/thoughts, but would specifically welcome suggestions for family-friendly accomodation near the slopes. Note that we aren%26#39;t insistent on Soldeu/El Tarter if anyone has any better ideas.
We%26#39;ll likely be flying to Barcelona and driving up, if this is relevant.
Thanks in advance,
Michael skype michaelmcgrath

I found Arinsal very family friendly and Princessa Parc hotel has some family suites . Ski school is very good and they speak English and hotel is very close to the lift.
They are providing a creche but you need to look at the Valnord web site ( Valnord is a company that opertaes lifts and activities as ski school / creche and even ski hire ).

I went to Pas De La Casa 2 years ago. The ski area is now linked up to Soldeau and El Tarta via the Grand Valira pass. So we made sure we covered all the areas available ski-wise.
For novice %26#39;family%26#39; skiiers I would choose Soldeau as the skiing there is much easier than the Pas end, it%26#39;s a larger and probably livelier resort. El Tartar gives good access to the slopes, but is a much smaller resort, so probably not so much other stuff to do apres ski.
I have not been to Arinsal, but looking at the piste map suspect it is also good for novice skiiers.

Thanks for the feedback -- much appreciated.
Michael.

If you can go in February rather than March, that would be better. I was there in March of last year, and the snow was slushy in many areas.
