Native English Ski Instructors???

Hi,

Just wondering if Arinsal has native English speaking ski instructors for ski school like there are in Soldeu?

Also, does Arinsal attract large numbers of partying youngsters that you tend to find in Pas?

Thanks

I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Arinsal.

I found that many of the snowboard instructors were from South America however spoke good English. Im not sure about the ski instructors though as we did not go skiing.

We found that there were a some groups/individuals who wanted to party when we were in Arinsal and there were organised events (e.g. pub crawls) which the reps arranged.

I have to say that after about 7pm when we had dinner we were too tired to go out around the town to the bars, so im not really sure how busy the town gets with people %26#39;partying%26#39;, although I expect that there would be a few as there were some quite nice bars in Arinsal.

We stayed at the Diana Parc hotel and this had quiteter bar/lounge areas where you could have a more relaxing drink after a day on the slopes. We would definitely go back and we are not big party animals! But I suppose it depends what your looking for. Hope this helps.

Thanks, we normally go to Soldeu but the prices seem to have gone up quite a bit hence considering Arinsal.

Would you recommend Arinsal for beginners/intermediates who are happy on blues and low reds, are there enough runs of this level to keep you amused for a week without constantly repeating yourself.

Thanks

Hi Digger,

Did you book for Arinsal in the end? We go to Soldeu like yourself, and have also noticed prices going up a lot. We used to stay in the Sport Village when it was first built , but price went up when they built the Hermitage, so then we stayed at the Piolets instead. Liked this hotel, but price has risen again, so next year we are booked into the Bruxelles. 2* No bath, only a shower, but good reviews for food. We have to go Feb half term so get stung. Have paid £759 pp for flight and hotel, half board. Have booked our lift passes with skiholidayextras ( part of ifyouski.com). Cheapest I could find, and gave me a discount for 10 people.

We went to Arinsal about 18 years ago, before they built the gondola. I wasn%26#39;t so keen on the skiing there, although it is now linked to Pal as well. You may find it limited after the GV.
