Hi,

I havn%26#39;t stayed in Pas, but have skiied there from Soldeu. As far as know there is no gondola at Pas, as the town and hotels are on the same level as the slopes. There are lots of chairlifts going up from the resort base.

If you read reviews on this hotel on TA, it says that it is only a 2 minute walk from Magic Hotel boot room to the slopes. There are lots of reviews there, so have a look for more info.

Hi

Thanks for that, last year we stayed in El Tarter and were about 150 metres from the Gondola which I think would be better for our group as one of us isn%26#39;t yet that competent on the skis and would probably be reliant on the gondola to return from the slopes unlike the rest of us who could can use the chair lifts and are confident to ski back down to the resort.

Have you booked yet? If not I really recommend Soldeu as well. We always stay there. The gondola goes up from the main street, so very close to most of the hotels. There is a bit more apres ski nightlife than in El Tarter. We used to stay in the Sport Village , and the gondola is on the side of this hotel. However, as prices went up, we stayed at the Piolets ( not the Park and Spa) which is also very close to the gondola. There are lockers at the gondola you can hire for 50/60€ weekly, to save walking from your hotel in ski boots carrying skis. They take 4/5 people.

The Village and the Piolets both have rooms with piste views, so you can watch people skiing back from your balcony. The Village has a lovely large modern lounge and large circular tables for groups in the dining room, both with mountain views.

Pas has steeper skiing, so a beginner would be going up and down the same slopes most of the time. Soldeu has a good variety of blues, and as it is lower, has nice tree lined runs like El Tarter and Canillo. Pas is above the tree line.
