Skiing - 1st March 2009

Does anybody know how much snow and what the quality of the snow will be like on 1st March roughly.

Also thinking of staying at the Cal Ruiz - anybody know this hotel????

This year it was quite good. Late February is usually a good time in the Pyrenees.

Andorra gets its best snow around the spring equinox.

We went 1st week of April (last week of the season) this year and had 40cm on the night we arrived, which followed a week of constant dumps from the week before.

It was then clear blue skies for the whole week and was their best week of the season.

After we got back it continued to snow and when I went to Spain in Mid May, the Pyrenees were still covered in deep snow.

I%26#39;m looking to do a week between Christmas and New Year as I will be in France for Christmas anyway. I%26#39;d like to go to Pas but suspect it will be the Travel Lodge in Cham as Pas suffers with its snow this early in the season.

we are flying out on 1st of March 2009, we have gone for this week, hopefully for better snow! we went last year in feb and found out and was told a little later in year normally gets the better snow!!!

Me and my girlfriend are going snowboarding on the 1st of March and staying at the Hotel Magic Pas heard a lot of very good reviews, and it gets 4 stars everywhere we look.. Never been before so looking forward to it. I have heard that the best snow is late Feb / early march so good time to go.... Flying from Manchester at about 07:00....

Hi, we have been going to Pas for the last 3/4 years and have found february and March have always had good snow. Check out Paddys Irish Bar its an excellent Bar, from our experience it is the busiest bar and they have the cheapest drinks.

we are going on the first and staying at cal ruiz but it was some friends of ours who booked it some ok reviews about the hotel but its only for a week and to get our heads down

Yeah thats right rooms are only forgetting your head down! and normally in pas its not for long! because the nightlife is really good! is there a group of you going then??
