soldeu new year??

the price to go to soldeu for new year is litterally double what it is for the following week after new year.

will this be the case no matter what or closer to the time do the prices come down to normal when the deals are on??

i know it is school holidays at new year but i didn%26#39;t think it would be all that busy. have i got this totally wrong?

thanks

You%26#39;ll find this to be the case almost evrywhere, New Year is the most expensive time to go.

Prices will not come down until the very last minute, last year there were quite a few good very late deals available ( about 2 weeks before departure ) but of course you take the chance of not being able to get the Hotel, or even Resort that you want.

As well as being very expensive the pistes will be very busy, though being away at new year is great.

do you think new year would be even busier than school holidays at feb half term

Both are vey busy times, probably about the same.

Re: New Year, have a look at Inghams holidays to canada, they have some good deals at the moment, it may be cheaper than Soldeu.

Hi Tom

If you are still looking to book for Soldeu, please sent me your holiday requirements and we will see what we can find for you. Feb 1/2 term and New year are about the same in price at the moment.

Hope we can help

We always go in Feb half term. The Grand Valira is a lot quieter than the Alps. My sister usually skis in the Porte Du Soleil(Morzine, Avoriaz,Les Gets). Finally convinced her to come with us last year, and they loved it. Sometimes we had the slopes to ourselves in the Grau Roig area. They couldn%26#39;t believe it. Obviously the recession has had some impact, but we went to the 3 Valleys(stayed in Courchevel)in March, and it was busier.

They are coming with us to Soldeu again next feb.half term. Her 3 boys wanted to go back.Youngest one(9) said ski school was SO much better than France, more fun, and he won a medal in the slalom race.

Christmas/New Year may be a bit of a gamble with the snow conditions, although they have good cannon coverage.

Next year we are staying in the Bruxelles hotel, 2* but very good reviews.

Can recommend the Sport, Sport Village, and the Piolets(not Park and Spa), but more expensive.

They have cut down on flights to Toulouse on Sunday, so can%26#39;t really afford to wait until last minute.

Hi Tom,

Im afraid its likely to be like this until a day or two before arrival. Its generally only cancellations that create room at new year. Its totally full. Christmas is a little quieter and cheaper. Email your requirments to andorratravelservice@reginagroup.com , you might find slightly better prices and certainly lower ski pack costs. Iain
